The types of desserts they sell there and there is a fine print indicating customers can ask for less sugar ha.

The traditional pot that is used to make dessert soups. It seems that not many stalls use such ways to make and store their desserts. If customers want to take away, it can either be packed in a plastic bag at the same price or in a plastic container at $1.

The picture of the two bowls of delicious dessert soups. On the left we have "da mai" and on the right we have the more common dessert soup green bean soup.

It was on a rainy day and we have decided to look for a traditional dessert stall which we were thinking whether is it still located at the same place or has it decided to stop operating after it was shifted to the newly built hawker centre. Many years back, the rent for the stall at the market was about $300 per month and the low amount of rent definitely help in the profits of the desserts soups which are sold at $0.70 per bowl.

While we were walking there, another thought came into our mind. Perhaps if the stall is still operating, the price of each bowl of dessert might have increased to offset the much higher rental price of the new stall. When we were there, we were happy that the stall is still opened and we were also pleasantly surprised that each bowl of dessert is still sold at $0.70 per bowl! These days, there are seldom such good deals anymore.

I looked at the choices of desserts and have decided to order "da mai"(although I wanted to try the "cheng ting"). The "da mai"... Wow I could simply felt the warmness when I ate the first mouth... The old granny who prepared the desserts certainly put her heart in making it... Josh ordered the green bean soup and he too felt the warmness. Both of us agreed that the dessert soups were thick and tasty. On a rainy day, at an old traditional stall, the desserts soups definitely kept us warm, delighted and made us smile while eating them.
