Wonderful familiar aroma of a traditional Hong Kong Restaurant filled the air around the area everytime i pass by Lee Heng Restaurant located at Commonwealth. This zhi char stall has been operating since many years ago and many food reviewers have specially stopped by this stall to try their food. Pictures from the recent Channel U food review program pasted all over the counter pretty much showed that this stall is still quite highly sort after.

$8 for Medium Serving (Enough for 2 adults)

We gave no hesitation in ordering the recommended Fish Head Bee Hoon at Lee Heng restaurant and the serving (middle serving) was enough to fill both our stomach. The fish head meat served was especially soft and tender and skilled fish head eaters can gladly feed on their soft bones =p The soup was in a right blend (tasted like real brewed fish soup!) that was not too thick and essence of the soup came upon our taste buds after some slow sipping. The only disappointing part of the dish was the noodles which was just a little too hard (guess the chefs were busy) and it tasted like a separate item from the rest. The whole dish was nevertheless above average and worth a try anytime if you happen to pop by. Getting to this stall will require a little walking from the commonwealth mrt station (10min).
