Why is it a favourite?
Adding enough potatoes makes the typical spicy soup sweeter and milder. The chances of coughing due to the spicy vapour are greatly reduced and the overall dish is gentle on the guts compare to before.
Ingredients:
3 balls of egg noodles
Tom Yam Paste
3 cups premium chicken broth
500g fresh farm chicken fillet diced
500g premium grey prawns shelled and de-veined
3 large high quality potatoes cubed
3 fresh carrots cubed
2 large whole red onions cubed
2 whole garlic peeled and sliced
Extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoon salt
Method
1)Pan fry the garlic and onion in olive oil for 2 minutes under medium flame.
2)Boil the chicken broth till it bubbles and add in the garlic, onion, potatoes, carrots, Tom Yam paste for 10 mins. Add in the prawn, chicken and salt for 8 mins more.
3)Add in the noodles and boil till it is cooked.
4)Remove from flame and serve 3 bowls of piping hot Tom Yam Prawn Noodles.
