Satay@Bras Basah Complex Food Court
Address: Bras Basah Complex 231 Bain Street (S) 180231
Cuisine: Chinese
Price: 60 cents per chicken satay(min 10), 80 cents per sticky rice
Well-barbecued golden sweet skewed chicken.

The sticky rice also known as ketupat is one side dish to go with the richly favoured satays together with the other sides such as onions and cucumbers.

The satay gravy is a special sauce that is thick, sweet and spicy with grounded peanuts which makes a powerful dip for the satay.
Something sweet, something tender, something meaty, something fragrantly sweet, something of bite size, something crispy or barbecued, something innovative to feast on and thinking about all this, I find it in the yummy satay this weekend that has just passed. The juicy and sweet tender chicken skewered on shaved bamboo sticks is not only appetizing to see, but aromatic as well especially when it is just well done. Not able to resist, while on the way home, the bite on its own without the richly sweet and nutty satay sauce is just insufficient to settle for one. Thankfully, the journey is short to my home where the tasting of this combination of peanut sauce covered compacted rice and onions is a powerful formula that easily attract one to clear tens of skewers at one go. Yet, not the capability of speed eating that is of importance in dining but the sheer enjoyment of spending relaxed time with friends and loved ones around this dialectic course is what matters. I just cannot control but keep having my thumbs up for this new found haunt for satay.

Yum Yum! It has been a long time since i eat these. :)
when u eat satay, it is best to go with lots of cucumber and raw onions... to detoxify the satay which is grilled over the charcoal ... right?
